It’s JAX’s B-Day. New Material. Let’s celebrate.
In honor of JAX’s birthday I am releasing the last song he laid down in my studio. It was for my solo production project and features JAX along with Roy G. Biv, Omega, and Ghost. I used to pick him up from work and we would just bug out. A lot of the verses he would write were a lot darker than most of his other material. We even started a group, The Shark Skin Suit Sibling but were unable to really get it off before he passed. I miss my brother and will always love him. I feel blessed to have recorded with him and be able to share his music with you. JAX LIVES!

On November 4, 2008 my friend Jax left the physical plan. He was a great M.C. and a great person. He is truly missed. He will always live in the hearts of those who love him.

Why would you sleep on Mars Ill? They are dope?
I had heard the music, hung out at clubs, and worked with them in the studio and still did not know Mars Ill was “positive hip-hop”. It went right by me that Manchild was killing battles and wasn’t cursing. The music Dust was making was truly hardcore. They were and are underground Hip-Hop. I’m still am amazed at how they mix street music with positive messages. The video and song features Jax and Flux. Enjoy. Great editing on the video too.

Jax is gone but never forgotten!
On November 4, 2008 Jax left the physical plane. Cause of death – hypertension. One of the major health risks for Black Americans is high blood pressure. Below I’ve listed some information on hypertension that will hopefully shed some light on Jax’s passing and cause you to take care of yourself. I miss you Jax. You will always be loved.
Symptoms
By Mayo Clinic staff
Most people with high blood pressure have no signs or symptoms, even if blood pressure readings reach dangerously high levels.
Although a few people with early-stage high blood pressure may have dull headaches, dizzy spells or a few more nosebleeds than normal, these signs and symptoms typically don’t occur until high blood pressure has reached an advanced — even life-threatening — stage.
When to see a doctor
Unless you have symptoms of extremely high blood pressure, there’s probably no need to make a special trip to the doctor to have your blood pressure checked. You’ll likely have your blood pressure taken as part of a routine doctor’s appointment.
Ask your doctor for a blood pressure reading at least every two years starting at age 20. He or she will likely recommend more frequent readings if you’ve already been diagnosed with high blood pressure, prehypertension or other risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Children age 3 and older will usually have their blood pressure measured as a part of their yearly checkups.
If you don’t regularly see your doctor, but are concerned about your blood pressure, you may be able to get a free blood pressure screening at a health resource fair or other locations in your community. You can also find machines in drugstores that will measure your blood pressure for free, but these machines aren’t often calibrated and can give you inaccurate results.

Me and Jax go way back.
Jax and I go back to 1999 when Dres the Beatnik brought him by my studio. I was recording Dres’s first album and Jax was on it. Before that we had only seen each other in passing doing shows at local spots. I had gained a little notoriety from doing ads in Elemental. Jax loved those ads. We bonded immediately. We started recording some songs and just hanging out. This guy had more talent than I ever dreamed of having. The time and effort he put into music was amazing. I have never seen anybody work harder. With all his talent he could have very well been on some ego shit, but he wasn’t. Jax was one of the most down to earth people you could ever meet.
Below is a list of classic material. Ads we did together, videos he did that I love, and downloads you need. I miss my friend.

I love these. Jax was a wild dude.
My man.
It’s JAX week! I’m celebrating. Are you?
Ok, I decided that it’s Jax week. Why? Because I miss my friend. If you don’t know about the man, you should. As an MC, he was great. As a person, he was better than great. I started on a mission to expose as many people as I could to his music that I will continue until I run out of music. This week all post will be JAX related. Take the time to build up your collection. Feel free to contact me with any request.

Atlanta Hip-Hop spreads to Costa Rica!
Thanks to Billy Bathgate the Atlanta underground community has infiltrated Costa Rica. That’s right COSTA RICA. Mr. Bathgate has made some strong connections with Beatz 106 fm and they have been featuring mixes of our own indie artist. So the next time you are on vacation you might hear Mojo Swagger on the beach.
